ADOPTION OF THE REPORT OF THE
OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE
INTER-AMERICAN CHILDREN’S INSTITUTE
(Submitted by the Delegation of Costa Rica) 

THE DIRECTING COUNCIL,  

HAVING SEEN: 

The report submitted by the Acting Director General of the Inter-American Children’s Institute (IIN) to the 81^st Regular Meeting of the Directing Council; 

CONSIDERING: 

1. That the Report of the Office of the Director General of the IIN refers to the period elapsed since the 80^th Regular Meeting held in August 2005 and includes the terms in office of: Julio Rosenblatt, Officer in Charge of the Office of the IIN; Piero Solari Zerpa, Director General of the IIN; Juan Manuel Jiménez, Officer in Charge of the Office of the IIN, and John Biehl del Río, Acting Director General of the IIN;

2. That the IIN Office maximized its efforts to ensure the continuity of its institutional operations on both technical cooperation and the enforcement of the mechanisms provided for in the Statute and Rules of Procedure for the election of a new Director General;

RESOLVES: 

1. To adopt the Report submitted by the Acting Director General of the IIN and congratulate the IIN staff for the work performed during the special period of institutional transition.

2. To submit the Report to the Permanent Council of the OAS for all relevant purposes.
