INTER-AMERICAN YEAR OF THE CHILD AND ADOLESCENT

THE DIRECTING COUNCIL,

IN VIEW OF the General Assembly Resolution (AG/RESXXX-0/00) “Inter-American Year of the Child and the Adolescent”;

RESOLVES:

1.      To note with satisfaction that the General Assembly of the OAS has declared the year 2001
         as the Inter-American Year of the Child and the Adolescent.

2.      To instruct the Office of the Director General to assist member states, when so requested, in
         their efforts to commemorate the Inter-American Year of the Child and the Adolescent, within
         allocated resources in the approved program budget and other funds.
