TO THE AGREEMENT
SIGNED BETWEEN THE SISTEMA NACIONAL PARA EL DESARROLLO INTEGRAL DE LA
FAMILIA AND THE INTER-AMERICAN CHILDREN'S INSTITUTE FOR THE CREATION OF A
NATIONAL CHILD AND FAMILY INFORMATION NETWORK

ADDENDUM
TO THE AGREEMENT |

CONSIDERING: That
on May 22, 2000, the Inter-American Children's Institute (IIN) and the
Sistema Nacional para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia [National
System for the Integral Development of the Family – SNDIF]
signed an agreement for the installation of a Focal Center in the
Inter-American Child and Family Information Network (RIIN), part of the
Inter-American Child and Family Information Program (PIINFA) in Mexico, to
act as a Coordinating Center of the National Child and Family Information
Network. THEREFORE:
The
Inter-American Children's Institute and the Sistema Nacional para el
Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (hereinafter known as the DIF) hereby
agree to extend the agreement between the two institutions for an
indefinite period, under the terms and conditions of the original
agreement, entitling the DIF to operate as a Focal Center in Mexico and,
as such, to be the promoter of information-related activities and the
creation of new Centers in that country. The
present Addendum is signed by Ms. Ana Teresa Aranda Orozco, Director
General of the DIF and Mr. Alejandro Bonasso, Director General of the
Inter-American Children's Institute (on an ad-referendum
basis, pending the approval of the IIN’s Directing Council) in
Mexico City on the twenty-first of October of the year 2003. For
