Funding of Resolutions adopted by the Congress
(Submitted by the Delegation of Mexico) 

THE NINETEENTH PAN AMERICAN CHILD CONGRESS, 

CONSIDERING: 

1. That Article 51 in the Rules of Procedure of the Nineteenth Pan American Child Congress approved by the Permanent Council in its session held on 5 August 2004 (CP/doc.3923/04) establishes that: “All resolutions, declarations and activities resulting from the sessions of the Congress must have the appropriate funding for their execution or the express willingness of those supporting the initiative to contribute or obtain the corresponding funds, so that they may be carried out by the IIN”;

2. That the Congress deems it pertinent and necessary to secure the adequate implementation of the resolution that promotes the preparation and presentation of an Inter-American Project for Strengthening the Family and other related resolutions adopted herein.  

RESOLVES:  

1. To request the Office of the Director General of the Inter-American Children’s Institute to take the necessary steps before the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States for the creation of a specific account to fund the preparation and presentation of an Inter-American Project for Strengthening the Family and other resolutions adopted by the Congress;
   
   

2. To urge the member states to contribute, to the extent of their possibilities, to the effective implementation of the resolutions adopted by the Congress.
